Navi Mumbai, September 2025 – A fortnight-long celebration featuring around 100 diverse social and welfare initiatives will be organized in Navi Mumbai to mark the birthday of Maharashtra’s Forest Minister Ganesh Naik. The programs are being spearheaded by former Opposition Leader of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), Dashrath Bhagat, who announced the initiative during a press conference in Vashi.

The celebrations will be held from September 15 to September 30, 2025, and will cover a wide spectrum of activities, including social, educational, sports, cultural, healthcare, religious, and charitable events. Former corporators Fashibai Karshan Bhagat, Vaijayanti Dashrath Bhagat, and Rupali Nishant Bhagat, along with dedicated BJP workers and local citizens from Wards 65, 77, and 78, are actively involved in planning and executing these programs.

BJP youth leader and chief coordinator of the initiative, Nishant Bhagat, shared details of the schedule, venues, and the nature of the events. He explained that the fortnight-long campaign is being conducted under the guidance and concept of Dashrath Bhagat.

Speaking about the larger purpose, Dashrath Bhagat said that these activities are being organized as a gesture of gratitude towards Ganesh Naik’s decades-long, tireless service to the people of Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar. “Ganesh Naik has always left a strong mark as a leader dedicated to public welfare, and this celebration reflects our collective respect and appreciation for his leadership,” Bhagat stated.

Program coordinator Sandeep Bhagat further highlighted that these service-oriented initiatives will be carried out in Vashi, Sanpada–Palm Beach, Juinagar, and across other parts of Navi Mumbai. He added that a large number of BJP workers and citizens will contribute wholeheartedly, presenting these initiatives as a special birthday tribute to Minister Ganesh Naik.

The initiatives will engage a broad cross-section of society including senior citizens, educational institutions, sportspersons, ex-servicemen, teachers, doctors, sanitation workers, school and college students, government institutions, differently-abled citizens, women’s groups, women’s savings collectives, women rickshaw drivers, religious bodies, police administration, gaushalas, social forestry and environmental groups, Varkari associations, healthcare organizations, yoga and fitness instructors, and old-age homes.

The press conference concluded with an appeal for collective participation, underscoring that this birthday celebration will not just be ceremonial but a meaningful drive of “100 Acts of Service for Society.”
